    Battlefield 2042 (Code in a Box)

    Die reinste Enttäuschung!

    Ich habe wirklich auf ein endlich wieder gutes BF-Spiel gehofft. Doch ich wurde enttäuscht:

    Viele Bugs, wenig Waffen und Fahrzeuge, unschönes UI/HUD, unbrauchbare Match-"Statistiken", unfaires Map-Design, grottenschlechte Steuerung mit fehlendem "um-die-Ecke-lehnen", grundsätzlich gefühlt fehlender Content, kaum Features, miserables Gameplay, schlechter Netcode, einfach nur schlecht!

    Als erfahrener BF-Spieler bin ich masslos enttäuscht! Keine Kaufempfehlung!

    Mein komplettes, offizielles Feedback an die Entwickler:



    ○ In the German version, a text appears in multiplayer: "Spieler Erbittet Wiederbelebung". To make the text look nicer and grammatically correct, the "E" should be lowercase ("Spieler erbittet Wiederbelebebung").



    ○ The command menu ("Q") sometimes closes by itself for inexplicable reasons.



    ○ When entering vehicles, the outside perspective is automatically selected, although I have last used (and prefer) the inside view.
    The game should remember which view you last played in. Because it is very annoying if you have to press "C" every time you enter a vehicle.



    ○ The TAB statistics overview is not helpful. I would like to see all stats, from player 1 - 64 - at least the 32 from your own team.



    ○ Sometimes allied teammates don't have a text over their heads, even when you target them.



    ○ Some teammates cannot be revived (partially fixed).



    ○ Some teammates are stuck in the revive screen and have to leave the game.



    ○ Holding down "E" to open doors is annoying. Is there a specific reason for this?



    ○ A posture indicator would be very helpful (especially when crouching).



    ○ An option for mouse sensitivity of looking around freely in vehicles is missing (as a driver, not sitting at a weapon).



    ○ A sighting bonus should be reintroduced. Many players neglect their sighting duty.



    ○ Problems with resuscitation in general:
    It should be rewarded if someone waits the complete resurrection time (e.g. +10 points).
    This is because many players stop the resuscitation time way too early. In this context, the injured player should be able to see surrounding helpers so he doesn't abort early.
    Really: waiting must be rewarded (or too fast aborting punished with a longer respawn cooldown).
    Reason:
    It sucks when I run up to a player specifically to save him, but then he cancels the reanimation time. Later, the player reappears at the same place with exactly the same equipment. He could have been saved easily.



    ○ After a weapon has been automatically reloaded, you can manually reload it a second time immediately afterwards.



    ○ You can still interact with container doors that have been blown off.



    ○ Own position on the map difficult to recognize at first go (maybe add a bigger arrow?).



    ○ Sometimes English samples are played in the German version (e.g. when an injured player gives up).



    ○ "leaning around corners" is missing completely



    ○ Messy TAA:
    TAA looks unattractive even at 120+ FPS (on 2560x1440) with high contrast as well as on water surfaces, particle effects and vegetation.
    There would need to be another, more performance-intensive TAA profile selectable. Better, give the player the option to turn off TAA altogether so that he can force MSAA over the graphics card.
    Compared to the TAA from BF V, progress is noticeable, but the visual quality is unfortunately still unattractive (compared to 4x MSAA or a performance-intensive TAA profile).



    ○ Free view (just move your head), e.g. with the ALT key.



    ○ Lean around corners



    ○ Classic scoreboard:
    All players visible (even enemy ones) incl. level display with kills / deaths.
    The current "scoreboard" does not even have to be removed in the process. There is still enough space in the middle for the detailed scoreboard.



    ○ German translation error in vehicles:
    Text mistake: "Funkgerät" instead of "Radio".



    ○ In the German version, at the top of "Warten auf Beitritt", the squad names are without hyphen - e.g. "Flanker Trupp", correct would be (with coupling through): "Flanker-Trupp".



    ○ You should be able to lean over low walls, in addition to leaning around corners (which is also missing).



    ○ Specialist skills should be given more weight and be unique (see class system in BF 2, BF 4).



    ○ German grammar:
    "Ziel A scharf gemacht" is misspelled. Correct is: "Ziel A scharfgemacht" - "scharfgemacht" written together.

    Examples: Aufgemacht, fertiggemacht.

    Topically (written apart) it means that target A has been made in sharp condition. But this is completely wrong in this context.



    ○ 32 and 64 player game modes should be reintroduced. 128 players overloads the currently available maps and should only be offered as a special form.



    ○ At the beginning of a match you should not be forced to spawn. I often prepare my equipment for map conditions at this stage.



    ○ The body protection plates are annoying, especially since even without protection an unnecessary number of body hits are necessary. You should, if you want to keep plates built into the game, at least increase the projectile damage of all firearms.



    ○ Maps are boring and sometimes even unfairly designed (the opposing team scores points faster than the other at the start of the match). Interactive map changes are missing; a single whirlwind as the only weather effect is not enough.



    ○ A spawn camera, like in BF 4, would make things a lot easier.



    ○ The player character (including visor) sometimes twitches when you are on the ground.





    Final words:


    Please orient yourself more on Battlefield 2 and 4 again. The current game lacks a lot of what Battlefield used to be about. It seems lovelessly developed throughout.
    The only thing I see with the most potential is Portal mode. Currently, I can only give Battlefield 2042 3.5 out of 10 personal fun points (for comparison: BF 4 gets 8 from me).


    The game is not enjoyable for me, as a die-hard Battlefield fan.


    I really hope you will listen to the community and make changes. If I could, I would return the game. I am just disappointed - while I had high hopes.



    I have spent a lot of time writing all this down. Please forward my words to the appropriate people.


    It's really a shame about the franchise.



    Battlefield must be saved!
